Hi Dennis. Your brain is just a router that feeds signals from your mental envelope into your objective consciousness. In the same manner, your emotional envelope communicated to you, not through your brain but through your five senses. When your physical organism dies and begins to decay, your etheric envelope degenerates as well, usually at the same speed. The persona (monad) withdraws into the emotional envelope. Here the monad focuses its attention on a world of fantasy, but can still make sense of it, as it has entangled with its emotional envelope, its mental envelope. Kama/Manas. It is the mental envelope that processes consciousness, not the physical/etheric brain.
