RECAP 16 – ENVELOPES

In the last presentation, we spent some time getting to appreciate what constitutes a triad. We visualise its function through a representation that is presented in a table. It looks neat and shows, hierarchically, how a monad progresses once it has transformed into a quaternary atom. This is the start of the joinery home to Plane-1. It starts as an evolutionary process that sees the monad progress through four Kingdoms of Nature, Mineral, Plant, Animal and finally Human. It should be remembered that devas also go through this evolutionary process. On entering the 5th Kingdom of Nature, evolution turns to expansion. Why? Because the first four Kingdoms of Nature see our monad consolidate its personal envelopes of incarnation. In the Mineral Kingdom, all envelopes are shared between a large number of monads. This includes the etheric, emotional and mental envelopes. On entering the Plant Kingdom, the monad has now secured its own personal etheric envelope but continues to share its emotional and mental envelopes with other monads in its ‘soul group’. In the Animal Kingdom, animals surround themselves, individually, with an emotional envelope. This is a gradual process. Insects are less emotional than horses, although sticking your hand into a hornets’ nest would elicit a very angry response. Towards the end of a monads journey through the Animal Kingdom, it finally establishes a personal mental envelope, as well. The group soul for such advanced animals has very small numbers in the group. They still are limited by the fact that at the end of each incarnation, what they have worked up in that lifetime, is not stored anywhere. This makes data retrieval impossible for individual monads and individual lessons learnt. Memories are still shared by the group on the Lower Mental Plane. In fact, they are shared at the very lowest level, 47:7.

The transition from the 3rd to the 4th Kingdom of Nature is a major step in the monad’s evolutionary journey. Why? Because it becomes self-aware. It is able to expand this sense of self by accumulating experiences. It then converts them into an expanded consciousness that expresses itself as knowledge and finally into wisdom. To do this, the monad has to store this gained knowledge somewhere. In previous chains of our Logoic Scheme, this was a slow process by which our monad constructed a causal envelope. This envelope started out by looking like a series of lines. These lines are composed of tertiary atomic matter. Somehow these lines managed to contain information gained from an incarnation. This progressed and more lines were woven together until the causal body resembled a basket. Finally, an envelope would be formed that encapsulated the 47:1 atom fully. This included the 47:2 and 47:3 molecular subplanes. This, however, was not the way we constructed our casual bodies on the Earth Chain. We just happened to be gifted our causal bodies, pre-formed, by the generous donations of a group of devas called Solar Angels. They no longer have any need for these envelopes and by allowing us to use them, they save us an inordinate amount of development time. Equally important, is the fact that the Solar Angels stick around and watch over our evolution, acting in the role of the 2nd or Higher Self. Our solar angel has also been referred to as our Twin Flame. This is romantically equated to someone whom you hope to meet someday. The actual relationship between you and your solar angel is much closer, after all, you are wearing their cast-off underwear!

Having established yourself comfortably in a ready-made causal envelope, your monad is now ready to work its way through the 4th Kingdom of Nature. Just as an aside, the devic kingdoms, even though it passes through the 4th Kingdom of Nature, does not form a causal envelope. This is because the whole evolution of the devic stream is much more group-focused. They work as a team on matters related to the evolution of the matter aspect of the Trinity. Human monads, eventually when they get their act into gear, will focus on consciousness development. This will not just be for themselves but development in all other evolving quaternary matter. To better understand the consciousness principle, Human monads need to develop a sense of their ‘I-ness’. This is ‘me’, as distinct from ‘you’. This drives home the fact that each monad has its own consciousness field. This is where the transition from Evolution to Expansion kicks in. Once a human monad has come to understand who they are, they have achieved the primary objective of evolution. If they decide that being an ‘I’ is all that matters, they become selfish and self-absorbed. Consequently, they stagnate at this level and things go downhill very fast. If they want to continue to evolve, a human monad comes to realise that the only way to do this is to merge its consciousness with other monads, creating an expanded consciousness field. This is why all progress after the 4th Kingdom of Nature is designated as ‘expansion; not ‘evolution’.

We have got a little bit ahead of ourselves. Going from being gifted a causal envelope, to expanding our consciousness by merging our consciousness with other monads, is not an automatic process. We talked about the slow personalisation of our etheric, emotional and mental envelopes. We consolidated these structures around ourselves, as we progressed through the three lower kingdoms of Nature. Why did we do this and why do we need these envelopes? What role do they perform? If you want the altruistic answer, then these envelopes act as nurseries for the three lower orders of monads, the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary matter, to evolve. We give them a home and by interacting with our considerably higher conscious energy, they are slowly woken up further. Primary matter has been included in this list, but in reality, no level of consciousness, except that found on the very highest planes of matter, would have the slightest effect on Primary Matter. We can and we do affect Secondary and Tertiary matter. By experiencing our higher vibrations, these two classes of monads move their game forward. OK, that is the altruistic version. What is the selfish version? When we transform into Quaternary Matter, after the Third Outpouring, orchestrated but he 1st Logos, we are too energetic to continue to function on the Cosmic Physical Plane. This does not just refer to us Human monads, but Mineral ones as well. For a mineral monad to wake up, it needs to experience heat and pressure, an ‘inner’ and an ‘outer’. To do this, it has to experience the greater densities only found on the lowest plane of matter, Plane-49. Coming back to our Human monad, to expand its consciousness further, it has to come to understand the pairs of opposites. To do this, it fills its emotional envelope with secondary matter and forms elemental structures with the conscious application of its will. This is a huge learning curve for us. It is a very energetic process for the secondary atom, which itself, is involving lower into dense matter. To have an envelope and a structure where the human monad can focus its attention, it has to pair up with Tertiary matter. Why? Because it is this matter that forms the matrix of our envelopes of incarnation. It is also Tertiary matter that forms our triadic atoms and molecules. This is where we live and where we store our gathered traits and habits, known as our subconscious. Equally important, it is Tertiary matter that allows us to dwell on the lowest plane of matter, Plane-49. This is where the real evolutionary process occurs for us. This is where we learn our lessons. We first work them up in our mental bodies, drive them with our emotional energy and then experience them physically. This is how we activate knowledge and convert it into wisdom. Never underestimate the value of physical existence. Remember, even the Lord Buddha had to return to the lowest planes of matter to launch himself into the cosmic realms. He did this when he took the (i8) and passed from the Cosmic Physical Kingdom to the Cosmic Emotional Kingdom.

So, you can see, triadic envelopes are very useful and necessary. They serve as a home for us and a nursery for two lower classes of monads. Collectively, we form a package that allows Secondary matter to involve and Tertiary and Quaternary matter to evolve. All this is achieved by a series of ‘Russian Dolls’ that nest within one another. This set of Russian Dolls is known as a Self. What exactly is a self and how many of them do we have? Let’s recap that in our next presentation.
