When we looked at the formation of the planes of matter, all 49 of them, we were told that each lower plane was an aggregate of the planes above it. That aggregate always was a multiple of 49 other aggregates. This went all the way back to the first aggregate, which was an agglomeration of 49 monads. For 42 planes, primary matter was the main substrate of any plane. In fact, primary matter is the substrate of all planes, except when it is encased within envelopes. This has two benefits. It allows larger structures to be built in the Universe and it also shields lower planes from the immense energetic potential of a ‘naked’ primary atom. However, if there were only clusters of primary atoms on every plane, the Universe would be a mass of unconscious matter. That lamentable state of affairs is avoided by what happens when matter enters into the Cosmic Physical Kingdom. The substrate of primary atoms is still there, but one of these atoms, also known to us as a monad, undergoes a radical transformation and gains consciousness. This happens in three phases, aided and abetted by the good servers of two logi, the Second and First, to whom we owe our continuing evolution.
The path of self-activating consciousness is a complex process and has already been dealt with. It is worth reiterating the basic transformations that overtake the monad along its journey within the Cosmic Physical Plane and specifically, within our Solar System. The primary atom moves from being potentially conscious to becoming passively conscious. This is not only a stage in the monad’s own evolution, but it creates an aggregate, an elemental essence, that becomes a unit of matter that thrills to the input of active consciousness. So, here we have the first interaction. It is between primary matter and secondary matter, creating a structure that can serve a purpose, above and beyond the mere fact of its existence. This is achieved when the monad undergoes its next transformation. When it becomes tertiary matter, its consciousness takes another major step and now becomes active. To achieve this feat, it has had to be stimulated repeatedly by higher conscious inputs from other monads.
To understand the next interaction between monads, let’s focus on tertiary matter when it comes into existence. It enters Plane-49 and immediately takes charge of most of the clusters of 49-atoms on that plane that are organised into molecular formations that make up the six sub-planes of the 49th plane. This eventually leads, on Subplane-49:7, to the building out of all the material world we see around us. Of great importance to us, it also leads to the construction of our organic bodies. Every cell in your body is a molecular agglomeration of 49-atoms, controlled by a tertiary atom. What is the significance of this fact? It means that matter can be actively controlled. Why? Because tertiary matter is actively conscious. Does this mean that a tertiary atom can wake up every morning and decided what it is going to do that day? No. But if it is told by a more conscious monad what it is going to do that day, then it will faithfully carry out those instructions. This is why your heart continues to beat ceaselessly, without you giving it a second thought. The instruction to make it beat has not come from you. It comes from a deva. That deva, like you, has also reached a higher grade of consciousness.
I wish now to jump forward to the final grade of matter quaternary matter, so that I can then begin to draw together how all four grades of matter work in relationship to each other. These interactions change, depending on what plane you are on and the function being performed. Quaternary matter undergoes the most spectacular transformation of all. Through the kind services of the 1st Logos, it begins the slow process of waking up and becoming self-conscious. If we take ourselves as an example, the whole of our body, something I call a ‘reality suit’, is composed of molecules that have primary matter as a substrate, are controlled by tertiary atoms and are governed by a single quaternary monad. That monad is you and me. In reality, our organism is governed by a whole army of other quaternary matter called devas. But that is a long story in itself.
For simplicities sake, when looking at our bodies, there is us and them. Firstly, us and the devas. Them also means primary atoms, embedded in immensely large clusters, controlled by tertiary atoms. Notice that secondary matter is missing. This is because the secondary matter was transformed into tertiary matter as it enters Plane-49, becoming actively conscious. The cells and molecules that make up our body are much larger than the structures that tertiary matter govern. They all come together in a cohesive whole and make up whatever functioning structure we have in our body. I can not escape from telling you that all this coordination is done by devas, not us, in the main. We are a complex organism, of which we have precious little input into running effectively. We can, however, bring it to a grinding halt all too easily. Control of these complex systems is brought about through active consciousness. There is, however, one magic ingredient that is missing in tertiary matter, will-power. That is what makes quaternary matter special, the ability to direct conscious to do something, not just repeat it, as tertiary matter does.
I have explained this model using humanity as a template. There are, however, three kingdoms below us, the Animal, Plant and Mineral Kingdoms. The monad that inhabits the basic unit in each of these kingdoms is also a quaternary atom. What differs in the case of the lower kingdoms, is where the control centre lies for the evolution of this quaternary monad. Not wishing to get into the fine print of that control just yet, I just wish to point out that all four grades of matter interact, but not necessarily always in the same place, as we have seen with secondary matter, which is not present on Plane-49. However, we know from previous presentations, we are not just our physical body. We, humans, are evolving, simultaneously, on three planes of matter, 49, 48 and 47. We actually reside on plane 43, but we are not evolving there, that happens on the three lowest planes of matter. What is the package that contains us on each of these planes? We can see, on plane 49:7, it is our organic reality suit. When we turn our focus to the 48th plane, we have an envelope there as well. It is called the Emotional Body. It looks like our physical body but is composed of molecular matter that itself is an agglomeration of 48:1 atoms. These atoms vibrate at a frequency that makes them invisible to us on plane 49. These 48 atoms also have one less chain of 49 atoms than are found on Plane-49. This is what makes them a different plane.
On Plane-48, we now have all four grades of matter present. The substrate of primary matter underpins all other structures. This is found everywhere in the Universe. We now also have secondary matter, known as elemental essences that are functional units in their own right. They are found in two places. They make up the molecular substrate of the whole emotional plane. Everywhere on this plane, you find secondary atoms. However, on this plane, you also find tertiary atoms. What are they doing there? They form aggregate envelopes that act as vessels into which elemental essences can be contained. The best example of this is our own Emotional Body. That body has a membrane that is constituted of tertiary matter. Tertiary matter also forms other structures, such as skandhas, which are memory cells that we carry with us always. More on those later. The most important structure on Plane-49 as far as we are concerned is our permanent atom. This is a fascinating structure and at present, I just wish to point out that it is also made from tertiary matter. I mentioned that all four grades of matter were present on the 48th plane of matter. This is not strictly true. Why? Remember, I mentioned that quaternary matter was too energetic to exist within the Cosmic Physical Plane. That is why we have a permanent atom and it is here that we focus our attention, as we expand our consciousness. How this happens is going to be the subject of the next presentation.
Hello Kazim,
as per my understating, tertiary matter is actively conscious, but not self-conscious. It has to be organized and commanded because it has no will-power. Does it mean that all automatic functions related to our everyday’s life are controlled by tertiary matter?
It seems like a sort of an orchestra, where we are not the conductor. The orchestra plays a basic rhythm, but we create the melody, depending on our preferences. As our knowledge and consciousness increase, the melody becomes more and more complex.
Do devas do that because we are not able to take care of our basic vital functions?
Thank you
Bye
Roberto
Hi Roberto
I just saw this comment. I like your analogy about the orchestra and the melody. The functions of our everyday life are controlled by the devas and remembered by the tertiary matter, so they happen robotically. We do indeed provide the melody or the discordant notes.
I go into this in more detail in a presentation that will air in April!
