In previous presentations in this series on The Science of the Antahkarana, we have looked at mental consciousness and related it to the structure and function of the Causal Lotus. There are however seven states of consciousness that a monad is capable of experiencing, as it evolves through the Solar System. Notice here that we are talking about the whole of the Cosmic Physical Plane, not just our passage through one particular kingdom of nature.
Let us recap what we have already disused about the Mental Plane. The first level of awareness is found in our mental envelope, 47:4-7. This is the bisected half of the mental envelope that dwells on the 1st triad. Here occurs the development of true mental perception. This, as we discussed, was linked to the knowledge petal found in the Causal Lotus. The next state of consciousness is termed Soul Awareness or Soul Perception. Do not see this as the perception of the soul by the persona. It is not. This is the perception of the soul by itself. So, how do we come to know of it if it is occurring at the soul level, which is on the 2nd triad? In time, this soul perception is registered in the lower mind, what we commonly regard to be our mental envelope. This is not the usual mode of perception we are used to. This soul perception is linked to the Unity Petal of the Causal Lotus. The last type of mental awareness associated with the mental plane is Higher Abstract Awareness. This is initiated by the Will Petal of the Causal Lotus and results in the unfoldment of intuition and the recognition by the lower mind of this intuition.
All this consciousness development occurs within us as we traverse the 4th Kingdom of Nature as Human Beings. This has taken us from Plane 49 to Plane 47. However, there are four more planes above this, just within the confines of our Solar System and we will evolve through all of them. So what does mental consciousness look like on these higher planes of matter? We look at our model of the triad structure that was constructed for us by the devas for inspiration, as we entered our journey as quaternary matter on the Cosmic Physical Plane of matter. This occurred when we transitioned from being conscious as tertiary matter, into quaternary matter and entering the 1st, the Mineral Kingdom of Nature. Our passage through the 4th kingdom of Nature complete, the monad now passes to the 5th Kingdom and jumps up a plane of matter to World 46. Theosophists call this the Buddhic Plane, but you know this designation is nonsense and the reasons why have already been presented. This world is called the Essential World by Laurency and the Unity World by Bladon. I subscribe to the Bladon nomenclature. Consciousness in this world is persistent because there are no periods of sleep that the monad does not register and this consciousness is described as spiritual awareness. What does spiritual mean? Think of it as consciousness at an intuitional level. This consciousness is perceptive and is where the Hierarchy perceives things from. In this world, the monad is perceiving its environment in six dimensions, so it is difficult for us to understand what is being processed. What we do know is that monads in this world have unity consciousness and are aware of other consciousness fields around them and can learn from and transfer their knowledge and ideas instantaneously. This is the 4th or middle stage of consciousness development. We have three more to go within the Solar System.
Moving along our schematic, we arrive at the last triad structure on the middle triadic level, which is the triad focused on consciousness development. This is World 45. Monads here are referred to as 45-selves. It is on this plane that we find the masters, though not many monads at this level of consciousness development take on the task of serving as masters for the development of human consciousness. The established terminology for describing consciousness in this world is Atmic consciousness. We however use the designation Lower Spiritual, because we know that the envelope used by a monad functioning in this world is half of a greater structure that has its head on the triad above. This is a repeat of the situation we have with our mental and causal envelopes. Therefore we are dealing with a higher and lower envelope. The envelope itself was termed the Spiritual envelope by Bladon and that is how it is recorded in the diagram. Here is why it makes sense to call this a spiritual envelope because when consciousness is discussed here, it is called spiritual Will. This Will is experienced in this envelope on both the 2nd and 3rd triads, as this envelope straddles both. The 3rd triad is the worlds of Divine Manifestation, hence this is how it is referred to, not as the monadic plane, as the theosophists do. We are well and truly into the realms of nirvana on this plane and there is very little that we can say about what consciousness means at this level other than it must be groovy. On Plane-45, you have seven dimensions to work with. The Spiritual Plane is part of the 5th Kingdom of Nature, along with the Unity Plane.
We move up another plane of matter and enter the 6th Kingdom of Nature. We are now in the realms occupied by the chohans. A monad on this plane is aware of all that is occurring on their own plane and all the planes below them, right down to Plane 49. This is what unity consciousness is all about. There is one more plane to go before we run out of planes in our solar system. As happened with the mental and spiritual envelopes, the next plane has a split. This is very significant, as the lower half of this envelope, the monadic envelope, is not only divided again, but its lower half is one of the nine nodes in the triadic structure and the rest of it is outside it. Most esotericians call this the Logic Plane, but we use the term Monadic here, not on the plane below. Consciousness on this plane is described as being divine and by divine is meant being conscious of all the goings on in the whole Solar System. This is not just linked to our planet, but all the other planets and those aspects of the Solar consciousness that are active within the solar system itself. To move from the lower to the higher monadic envelope, the monad takes the (i7). This is where you find our Manu, World Teacher and Maha Chohan. They operate in nine dimensions; impressive stuff. It is worth mentioning here that back on our planes, starting with the Emotional World, we are objectively conscious when we go there during our sleep. Here we see and experience things in 4 dimensions. Most of us only get to experience the Mental World subjectively on our journey back to our causal envelopes. This is where we rest between incarnations. In our mental envelopes, we operate in five dimensions. So, although we have spoken about seven levels of mental development, our concept of what mental thought is, only has objective expression in three subplanes of matter we observe on Plane 49. When we translate the machinations of our mental envelope and process its deliberations in our physical-etheric brain, we are cognisant of only a fraction of what is being experienced in the mental envelope itself. In that envelope, we are currently only linked to the knowledge petal, situated in our causal envelope. The other two petals are yet to unfold, but that is what building the Antahkarana is all about.
In the next presentation, we will set about considering the actual material the Antahkarana is built from.
Hi Kazim
I’ve been deeply interested in the writings of Laurency for many years, and I’ve been following related presentations, including yours on YouTube. I appreciate the well-researched and informative way in which you present this material, but I have some questions and concerns.
I’ve often pondered the practical applications of these ideas and theories. If they are indeed true, it begs the question of how this knowledge can be used in real life. It’s challenging for me to fully embrace these concepts as there seems to be a lack of empirical evidence supporting them. This has led to doubts about whether these ideas are grounded in reality or are merely speculative.
I’m curious to know if you ever have doubts about the validity of Laurency’s theories or if you can help me better understand why they are considered a valid “theory of everything.” Additionally, I’d like to explore how this knowledge can be practically applied to our lives and whether there’s room for improvement in making these ideas more accessible and relevant.
Thank you for taking the time to address these questions. I look forward to your insights and perspective on this matter.
Kind Regards
Frank
Hi Frank
Sorry for not getting to this message earlier. Don’t know how I missed it or maybe I have replied but I don’t think so and I can’t see a reply in this thread. So, let me answer your queries.
The first thing to say is that people do not come to Hylozoics out of the blue. They have usually been exposed to other esoteric material. Where Hylozoics shines is that it puts forward a framework that makes understanding the material currently in circulation, much more easy. The main addition to the mix is putting the concept of matter into the equation. The work of Blavatsky and Bailey focus on consciousness and seem to ignore the centrality of matter. When you do this, you throw the baby out with the bathwater and a non-coherent picture emerges. So for me, things came into alignment when I came to realise that there is only matter in the Universe, it is in motion and this is how consciousness develops.
Now, the thing about this framework is that it applies to planes of matter that are on completely different planes to our own, which I call plane 49. You cannot investigate plane 48 or 47 with any tools found on Plane 49. So any hypothesis put forward can only be tested when you are able to objectively move the focus of your consciousness into these higher planes of matter. One way to do this is take hallucinogenic substances, but that is not a good idea as you can not control where you go and you only get as far as the emotional world, which is a realm of fantasy. You also end up psychotic because you poke holes in your etheric web.
So, what can you do in your daily life now? There are a range of steps including mediation, mindfulness training, improved diets and ensuring you control your thoughts and emotions. More important than all of these is living a life of service to others. In this way you become an aspirant. At a later stage you can start to walk the path and what this means is outlined in my presentations. Some that have dropped and others yet to be released.
In my current series of presentations, I am talking about what the Antahkarana is and how you go about building it. This is advanced training and most of us will never get round to it in this incarnation, but it does no harm in learning what the steps are, as you can apply the general principles around this activity in your life.
Of all the esoteric information I have come across, Hylozoics seems to me to be the most coherent. There is not a single question that I can not answer using it. The answers I derive are not the absolute truth, but they seem coherent to me and suffice to help me make sense of my life, the world around me and the events that are occurring in it. For that reason alone I feel blessed to have come upon this concept, although I realise that is not new to me. As Laurency tells us, if Hylozoics makes sense to you, then you have been exposed to it before. If you have further questions, please post them here or send them to the email associated with the website. There is a button at the bottom of the web page.
Take care
Kazim
