Pondering what topic I should discuss next, I recalled an exchange I had with a subscriber where he reminded me of an essay by Lars Adelskogh titled “Man and Augoeides – White Magic”. I thought this would make an interesting presentation. I will use the term solar deva to refer to the augoeides, although I often refer to them as guardian angels, for that is what they are to us.
In previous presentations, the role of the solar deva has been discussed. In this presentation, the focus is going to be on the relationship between the solar deva and the role this plays in initiating white magic. As previously mentioned, the solar deva is not an individual but a complex of 13 solar angels. They go to make up what is euphemistically called the causal lotus. This topic has been discussed in some detail, previously. The point being made here is that there is a relationship between the devic and human kingdoms that is very beneficial to us humans. We know the devas are the masters of matter and that they construct and manage all our envelopes of incarnation. The role of the solar devas, however, is something special. It is they that have allowed us to speed up our evolution, allowing us to store our memories in a causal body that was presented to us on a plate. We did not have to build it. This was a game-changer in our evolutionary process. On the Moon Chain, monads entering the 4th Kingdom of Nature had to painstakingly build out their causal bodies and the stages described by Charles Leadbeater included terms like line-people, because this was all that was present in the causal world, to basket-work people, because they had started to create a lattice into which memories could be contained. Anyway, here we are on the Earth Chain, in the 4th Round and on the 4th Globe and we were gifted pre-formed causal envelopes that belonged to the solar devas but they no longer needed them. They didn’t just chuck us their undergarments and waltz off into the sunset. They formed a close partnership with us, which is to last until we finally exist the 4th Kingdom and enter the 5th Kingdom.
It is this partnership and how it relates to the topic of white magic that is the basis of this series of presentations. We know that we have three principle envelopes that function on the 1st triad, the mental, the emotional and the etheric. On either side of these envelopes are two other temporary envelopes. Below, on the 49th plane, is our physical organism. This envelope is helpfully constructed for us by other devas and is just a temporary vessel we inhabit during our sojourn on the surface of this planet. The other envelope is a temporary container that holds our envelopes on the 1st triad. This is part of the causal body but is detached from the main causal envelope during an incarnation. The point to note is that the casual envelope is really the mental envelope but that it exists on the second triad. Although the lower causal envelope surrounds our lower three principle envelopes, it is not present on the 1st triad, because it vibrates at the frequencies of the second triad. The memories it contains are known as the persona. This is who we think we are and who we identify with in this incarnation.
Why lay this all out again, when this has already been done before in previous presentations? Because it is useful to remind ourselves about where we are in our development and then related this to where the solar deva sits. This angel is a 46-self, although it can sometimes be even higher. It has reached the atomic level of the 46th World, not needing to focus through any of the molecular sub-levels of this world. We are currently conscious in World-47, but not yet in our causal bodies. Therefore our solar angel deputises for us on World 47, through the petals of the causal lotus. These petals are actually the bodies of the 12 other solar devas. So it is the relationship between our nascent 46th envelope, our 47-causal envelope and our mental envelope (47:4-7) that is the framework through which white magic works.
Who is a white magician? It is a monad that is in alignment with their causal envelope (47:1-3) and through this alignment comes into contact with their solar deva. This results in the monad being receptive to the plans and purposes of their solar angel. This the monad receives as impressions conveyed by the solar angel and received in the physical/etheric brain. It should be clearly understood that white magic always works down from higher planes to lower ones and is the result of the energies of the 2nd self. Now, what do we mean here by the 2nd Self? This could be the human monad itself if it has taken the (i3) and become a causal self. If not, then it is the solar deva that is deputising as the monad’s 2nd-self, both in worlds 47 and 46. Inspiration from the solar angel flows downwards as inspiration into the monads mental envelope. Lars points out that white magic is never the effects of the energies of the envelopes of incarnation alone.
How does the solar deva transfer this energy? It does this by focusing its consciousness inwards, recollecting what it knows and then beaming this information down into the lowers planes of matter. What is the information being shared? It is information that relates to the Divine Plan, such as it is known to the deva and such as the deva wishes it to be known to its charge. The solar deva is in deep meditation for the entire time of the monad’s incarnation, meditating on the purpose of the plan and how it relates to the current incarnation of the monad. Like everything that flows through the Universe, this mediation is cyclical. This results in the angel sending out rhythmic streams of energy. These are perceived as “high impulses” that inspire and stimulate the human monad to higher endeavours. When the communication between the solar deva and its charge is conscious and steady, then the human monad becomes a white magician.
What does this tell us? Workers in white magic are advanced human beings. They have to have a functional connection between the 1st and 2nd triads so that their causal envelope has coalesced into one unit. It is much more difficult for a 1st-self to be responsive to the subtle down-flows of energy from their solar devas. There is just too much static in their mental bodies. This, however, does improve as a monad reaches the end of its sojourn through the human kingdom and they are now focused in its 47:4 permanent molecule.
How does the solar angel actually communicate with their charge? It happens through the Sutratma, the Consciousness Thread, which passes from the causal body, down through the lower envelopes and finally into the physical brain. Once we have conscious control of the activities of our mental envelope, we have the potential to become intelligently active in the physical world.
What are white magician demonstrating? They are demonstrating willpower. This willpower is now constructive and intelligent. It is expressed under the direct supervision of the solar deva and is usually done through group work. To start with, white magic develops in the mental body of the monad and slowly works its way down, through the emotional envelope, into physical expression. Eventually, this energy can extend upwards into higher worlds as well.
Once conscious contact is made between the monad and its solar deva, life moves forward at a rapid pace, always within the confines of the Laws of Life and the Laws of Nature. The key to this is a steady connection between the causal body on the 2nd triad and the envelopes of the 1st triad. This is not the end of the story though, there is still no direct connection to the 46th World, where a nascent envelope is being prepared for the monad. It is in an embryonic state. To activate it, the monad has to align the organic brain with its etheric envelope. Why is the etheric envelope the key? Because it is the intermediary between the causal envelope, the mental envelope and the organic brain. This connection is now ready to extend further into World 46.
