It is the 11th of October, 2024, and I have come to the end of the current Adventures of the Monad. I started this adventure with my first post on 18th March 2020, four and a half years ago. What drove me to embark on this adventure? As you may have guessed, studying esoteric knowledge has been a passion since my mid-teens. If you remember, back to my first presentation, I mentioned that my mother read the Secret Doctrine to me as a child before I went to bed. This was when I was 7. You may think I had a weird mother, and she was definitely eccentric, but clearly, she had a role to play in my life which extended beyond birthing me into the world. My journey into remembering anew started very early, and the information I began to gather was indeed familiar to me. However, it has taken me all my current life to process what I have collected and arrange it into a framework that makes sense to me at my present levels of comprehension.
Books such as Life in the World Unseen, Many Mansions and the Aquarian Gospel greatly impacted me. As my knowledge has broadened, I see the flaws in all these publications. Nevertheless, they were foundational in helping me build a comprehension of the world around me that involved the seen and the unseen. I was comfortable with the knowledge that life had a more significant meaning than what just one incarnation could afford and that we were here to experience our environment, not just for what it afforded us, but for a higher purpose.
More significantly, my mother was privy to a series of séances over a six-month period that I would describe as a teaching circle. The information that she could remember from these sitting she passed on to me before the age of 10, and they have remained laser-focused in my memory ever since. Although what was said formed the foundation of all I understand today, of greater importance was the fact that it opened the door to further investigations.
I was introduced to the complete works of Rudolf Steiner at the age of 17, courtesy of my grandmother, and I studied this corpus of knowledge for the next 20 years, also dipping into the writings of Alice Bailey and a few other authors. When I realised that I had entered a rabbit warren that did not fully chime with my inner knowledge, I stumbled across the Science of Spirituality by Lee Bladon. I can not praise this book highly enough. It is the A to Z of everything you need to know about esoteric concepts, written in a very accessible manner. This work formed the basis of my first 78 presentations; many of my initial diagrams came from there. I should also mention that Bladon’s book, Awakening to Wholeness, is valuable to read and deals more with our psychological evolution.
In The Science of Spirituality, reference was continually made to a writer called Laurency, and my interest peaked sufficiently to motivate me to begin reading his works. This is when I hit the mother load, and all the knowledge I had squirrelled away until now suddenly began to merge into a unified framework. This framework allowed me to reevaluate much of what I knew, discarding some ideas and substituting them with new ones.
Ok, here I am with all this information about Life, the Universe and Everything. What was I going to do with it? Share it, of course. The only problem was, well, one of many problems, besides being considered barking mad by most people who knew me, was that when I spoke about an esoteric topic, I would have to stop and say, “Before I can proceed, I need to present this piece of the puzzle first”. Having started to present the new piece, I realised that there were three other pieces further up the chain that would make understanding this piece much more accessible. It was for this reason that I decided to sit down and write a series of presentations, using the obvious medium available to me, the web, to communicate a framework that, if understood by someone I was talking to, even only if marginally, would make further conversations on esoteric subjects much more accessible.
So, there you have the genesis of the Adventures of the Monad. I should point out that unless you glow in the dark, it is unlikely that you will fully grasp the subject matter being presented. It has taken me many lifetimes to gather this information, and I still gain new insights into the subject matter I am presenting, and I think I understand. The truth is I don’t, and every time I reread a script, a new insight pops into my head. I therefore humbly suggest that if you are genuinely interested in the information presented, do not just mechanically listen to an episode once. You need to read the script, ponder its contents, and then re-listen to the presentation, which may send you back to the script again. The more I think I understand the information I am presenting, the less I realise I know. That is not a problem because it gives me more rabbit holes to dive into, but more importantly, it has allowed me to graze in the meadows surrounding those holes under the glorious rays of our Solar Deity.
I would like to summarise all 480 presentations in the following few paragraphs. What is/are the major takeaways of the Hylozoic doctrine? The first is understanding the Holy Trinity of Matter, Motion and Consciousness. It is the key to all esoteric knowledge. The second foundational concept is that of the monad itself. What it is, what it represents and what it is capable of. With these concepts planted in your mental envelope, you are ready to embark on any esoteric adventure that grabs your attention. As long as you never forget that whatever you are considering is happening, either to a monad or through a monad. There are no spirits beyond the pale. There are only monads, who are in motion and have varying degrees of consciousness surrounding them.
How do we map these two concepts onto everything we have studied together? We start by realising that the primary unit of existence is an atom, the smallest atom possible, and this atom has three aspects. This mapping of a singularity into a trinity is a template that will repeat itself starting from the Absolute. It sets the whole Universe in motion, down through seven cosmic kingdoms, into a solar system at the bottom of this stack of these mighty kingdoms. The seventh and lowest kingdom, which we call our solar system, comprises seven planes of matter. You notice another number that repeatedly creeps into the narrative. We have the one, the three and the three somehow relates to the number seven. This relationship of the three to the seven lies at the heart of all esoteric studies and the evolution of the monad, the solar system, the galaxy and the Universe, so there is not much to consider then.
Returning to the relationship between the one and the three, if you look at the monad, it is said to have three aspects: activity, will, and wisdom. This is matter, motion and consciousness expressed in a different way. It is a lower representation of the forces that flow through the three logos of creation: Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. Let us now focus on the triad diagram, remembering that diagrams are not everything. This diagram has followed us through the whole series of presentations. The monad is a singularity with three expressions. These expressions are mirrored in the Third Triad, in the lower Monadic (43:4-7) envelope, which represents the 1st aspect of will, energy or motion; the Divine envelope on subplanes (44:1-7), representing the consciousness or wisdom aspect; and finally, the Higher Spiritual triad envelope (45:1-3), which is the matter or activity aspect.
It should be noted that the triad diagram showcases the permanent atoms and molecules but can also represent the envelopes that contain the lower molecules. Remember, it is just a diagram. From the three in one, we have gone to three. The third triad has not been dealt with in the presentations because we would not know how to comprehend its functions. Image this, on the First Triad; matter seems to be all-important, right down to the material elementals we construct in our mental envelopes when we think. When you get to the Second Triad, matter seems much less relevant, and consciousness becomes the main game in town. This reaches its apogee in the Lower Spiritual Envelope, Atma, where the monad appears to be everywhere and only comes into focus when it wishes to present itself. Remember the atom of the monad is on subplane 43:1 embedded in 1.34 x 10 81 other monads. Finally, on the Third triad, consciousness seems no longer relevant; energy appears to be the primary currency. Try getting your head around that.
This is why we started with the Second Triad, where things begin meaningfully happening for us based on our current state of evolution. Along this middle triad, we have the trinity of Atma (45:4-7), Buddhi (46:1-7) and Manas (47:1-3), or Lower Spiritual permanent molecule, Unity and Causal permanent atoms. We said these three envelopes coalesce into a duality on Plane 46 and finally into a triplicity on Plane 45. When this final union occurs, it is on the Third Triad, in the Higher Spiritual Envelope, the lower spiritual envelope having merged with it. The merging of these two envelopes bears a correlation of immediate significance to us, as you will shortly see.
We see a similar pattern when we drop down to the First Triad. The Lower Mental envelope equates to motion but expresses itself as will and intellect. The emotional envelope expresses desires but is a lower representation of wisdom found in Unity Consciousness, and finally, we come to the etheric envelope. It seems nebulous to us, but it represents the Matter aspect. However, it seems nebulous to us and represents the matter aspect.
As above, so below.
It is really that simple, yet infinite possibility exists in this simplicity. Have fun.
So, what is next? I don’t have a clue at present, although it will be two years before you see and hear this message, anything could have happened by then.
